Watched an online video to be sure I knew how to disassemble the drill to access the motor. Turns out that disassembly of the drill followed by removal and replacement of the motor was quite easy. When assembling the drill, I had to play around a bit with the forward/reverse switch, but it was no big deal. Altogether less than 30 minutes of work and the drill runs like new.
