I took out the old lever assembly and also replaced the clutch cable while installing the new lever. I unhooked the old cable from the pulley on the mower deck and where the cable anchors in, back towards the rear of the tractor and pulled the cable out along with the old lever assembly. I hooked Up the new cable to the pulley and anchored it in. Ran the cable up and hooked it to the new lever assembly. Bolted the new assembly in place. Ready to go works like a champ now.
