Product Description ?

This is a genuine Kawasaki replacement part designed for their 4 stroke engines. It is supplied from original engine manufacturer and it is sold individually. It is secured in the fan housing to cool down the running engine. Please note the hardware to secure this fan is sold separately. This part is made out of white plastic.

You will need a torx screwdriver and a wrench set to complete this repair.

    Fit like a glove on the FH 500V. Use an impact wrench to loosen the flywheel bolt (CCW to loosen). Be careful to line up the two pins that project downward from the Fan and engage the flywheel. And line up the parts that hold the Fan down to adjacent parts before the flywheel screw is tightened.

    Remove or loosen 4 bolts to remove engine cover then remove 3 bolts to remove screen then you have one bolt left holding the fan. Remove that, then spin fan till it locks in place, then reverse order

    replace worn fan

    Just be sure to get a copy of the factory repair and follow the steps. Remember the two plastic tits on the bottom of the fan need to be installed straddling the magnet on the outside of the flywheel or it will not seat flush and you will be repeating the operation.

    Fan blade flew apart.

    Removed both fan guards
    Removed engine shroud.
    Impact gun to remove fan retainer.
    Replaced fan.
    Reassembled all parts removed in reverse order.

    Charging coil wires had corroded away so I had to use a charger to keep battery up.Plastic fan broke.

    I removed the engine shroud, and the fan and the support for the cover over the fan. I removed flywheel and replaced the charging coil. Reinstalled flywheel, new fan and reinstalled pieces and the engine shroud. Now battery charges again.
