Perfect fit for Rigid WD16650
I had to replace the hose for my shop vac and found the interlocks in the hardware stores were all too small.
The inside diameter of the intake on the WD16650 is 2¾", which is larger than the intake on most other shop vacs. This part is an exact match fit and is working perfectly. The other end of this part, which goes into the hose, is the common size used for standard hoses.

Hose Intlk fits 16g Craftsman Wet/Dry/Blower Vac!!!
I searched all over for this item. All parts for my very old wet/dry/blower vac are supposedly obsolete. After a lot of research and connecting a few dots, I was 95% sure this would fit my vac even though Parts Direct says it's not compatible. Convinced that I was right and they were wrong, I bought two of these (one for future use!). Sure enough, this hose intlk - 83722 - IS 100% compatible!!! THANK YOU EREPLACEMENTPARTS!!!!!!!!!!!!! FYI: For those wondering how to get the old one off, simply use a heat gun to soften the outer hose "just enough" (do not overheat!) to place a flat head screw driver in between the old link and the outer hose and then slowly walk the old link out!!!! Again.... THANK YOU EREPLACEMENTPARTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Internlock hose end broke off, SEARS said part no longer existed (obsolte they said).

Interlock hose end hooked right up to the shop vac, using the Pos-i-lock connector. However, I could not connect the 1 1/2" hose to the hose end. I modified an adapter piece, shaving down a raised edge, of a coupler, filling the gap with black silicone, shoved in into interlock hose.......after drying time, the hose connected simply to the coupler using the Craftsman clip-on ring. Works like a champ. Sears sent me the hose and adapter, telling me these were the parts corresponding to the Model Number (WRONG!!), the essential part was the 2 3/4" Dia. interlock, with the Pos-i-lock connector.......the only reason I kept the Sears hose was because of the coupler fitting that came with various hose adapters. You guys saved my day, thanks. This isn't the first time, eh. Rudy
