Question: Replacement Chuck Key

I need a replacement chuck key for my Delta 17-900 Drill Place. The ID plate does not say Type 1 or Type 2, ust 17-900.
My owners manual shows a 1/2" Chuck Key #1313104. On your website the diagram calls for a 5/8" chuck key. I need to order several parts including this chuck key......how can I be sure which is correct?

Hello RonBiffle,

The Delta 17-900 has a 5/8 capacity chuck on it. The correct key is the 1313105. The 1313104 chuck key is for 1/2 inch capacity chucks. As for the type 1 versus the type 2. I pulled up the parts diagrams side by side and only saw a few different parts, mainly washers, screws etc. You should be safe ordering off of the type 1 diagram.
