    Pried worn bushing from out of tank, pressed in the new one. Removed the hose clamps from the worn fuel line, Installed new fuel line back on, then replace the hose clamps.

    Fuel line grommet broke

    Had to remove fuel tank to complete repair. Found fuel line pulled to tight. Pulled line though zip tie so not to pull on fuel line grommet.

    Lawn mower fuel tank rubber bushing cracked, deteriorating and leaking

    Removed the seat electrical, seat and springs. Removed rear cowling bolts, removed fuel cap, removed retaining zip ties on fuel hose and electrical loom. Removed rear cowling. Removed fuel line from fuel filter. Removed seat bracket and fuel tank. Cleaned and inspected all parts. Removed fuel line from tank, removed fuel outlet bushing and stem, inspected bushing seat and stem and replaced both, reassembled machine.

    Fuel tank leak at lower outlet - Poulan lawn tractor

    Drained the gas
    Removed the tank mounting screws and tank
    Removed the fuel outlet bushing assembly and line from the outlet hole under the tank
    Pulled the 90 degree barb out of the old bushing
    Put the new bushing into the tank hole - perfect fit!
    Pushed the barb into the bushing
    Checked all line connections
    Remounted the tank
    Added gas and checked for leaks

    Fuel stem and bushing

    I removed old fuel stem and bushing by hand. Cleaned the area and used pliers to remove fuel line and hose clamp. I then put the fuel stem in the new bushing replaced fuel line and hose clamp then pressed everything in its place. Think total repair time was 5 min

    2. Remove rear body
    3. Remove fuel tank
    4. Removed rubbber bushing from fuel tank.
    5. Inserted new rubber bushing
    6. Tested for leak.
    7. Reassembled all parts.

    Removed rear fender assembly and fuel tank to access the fuel tank bushing. Installed new bushing and fuel tank nipple along witha new fuel line to the filter.

    Removed tank, cleaned, then replaced seal. Reinstalled tank then replaced with new gas line, fuel filter, fuel cut off valve and clamps. Hopefully the work that I did will hold up for another 15 years.
