Product Description ?

This replacement ball bearing is specially designed for use with Ridgid and Ryobi power tools. It is a high quality item that is sourced directly from original equipment manufacturer. Ball bearings are used to reduce friction between connected rotating parts. Due to the heat, friction and other factors bearings over time will begin to fail requiring replacement. Please make sure to check appropriate diagrams for correct location and use of this item. One metal ball bearing is included per order.

    A Ball bearing failed and caused damage to the fan and belt

    I simply assembled the bearings and spacer on the shaft, inserted the assembled parts into the planer housing sleeve, attached the fan to one end and the pulley and belt to the other end, reattached the planer cover and the job was done.

    Both bearings went bad. Messed up the fan and the fan shaft.

    1. Changed the gear housing because it was a bearing noise and the bearing in the housing was not available by itself. Noise was still present.
    2. Changed the output shaft bearing. Noise was still present.
    3. Changed the electric motor. The armature bearings were not individually available. The howling noise is now gone.
