Question: Battery Compatibility

1174388

I have a Ridgid cordless drill (R86006) and the battery (840084) has died and needs replacement. Will a 840085 battery fit the aforementioned drill and accompanying quick charger? OR is there somewhere locally where I can get my old battery refurbished?

Reply: Battery Compatibility

Hello 1174388,

There is a difference in the body of the 840084 and the 840085 batteries. That would not make them compatible. If you want to bump your amp hours to 3.0 the part number 130383031 battery is available. And to answer your question regarding getting your old battery refurbished. There are numerous battery rebuild companies around. Just do a search and quite a few will come up.

Hope this helps,
-WJA
