If the original bowl and lid had two snap lock mechanisms, then you would need the new version of the lid part# DLC-877BGTXT1, but if it only had one snap tab on the lid and bowl to lock the parts together, then you should not need the new lid. The page says that if my current bowl has "two interlocks", I'll need to order a new pusher as well. Could you explain where the two interlocks are and how I would know if I have them?

Hello Kenneth, Thank you for your inquiry. The interlocks would be a safety insert on the bowl that the corresponding tab on the lid would slide into to lock the cover to the bowl. Some models only have one interlock assembly and some have two, one on the handle and one on the other side of the bowl. Since the binding between the parts appears to represent a slight discrepancy between the lid and the replacement part, I will try to lightly sand the flange where it binds in the hope that this will enable the machine to work again.
