To begin the replacement, gain access to the oil seal on the axle, which may require removing the wheels and wheel hub. Utilize a pry bar to carefully remove the old oil seal, taking care not to damage the transmission or axle. Clean the area around the seal and shaft with sandpaper to remove any grit, dirt, or debris that could lead to contamination. Lubricate the new oil seal and install it using an object with the same circumference, such as PVC pipe, to ensure it is flush and aligned within the housing. 3. Cleaned and smooth the shaft with emery paper.
4. Installed new seal by first putting a non hardening sealant on out side of shaft.
5. Next putting in the seal, by using a washer and pipe to get the seal in all the way.
