This genuine OEM sourced replacement guard which is utilized on Ryobi angle grinders. It is secured over the grinding disk to direct dust and trimmings away from the user as well as provide protection while the unit is in operation. Never operate a grinder without a wheel guard. This part is made of durable metal and it is sold individually. Screw is not included. Part number 039028001004 is for the screw.

Missing grinding disc guard

The new guard didn't come with a screw as stated. I located several #10 x 32 screws (3). One was too long and interfered with ideal location of guard. One was too short. The 3rd screw (about 5/8" long), worked. I used some needle nosed vise grip pliers to pull the guard clamp together to start the screw. The 5/8" screw fit perfectly and allows infinite adjustment of the guard. The guard is a perfect fit also. Big thumbs up!

4 screws pull arbor housinf assembly
Remove excess grease:theres alot!
4 screws releases gear housing.
With finger Push armature thru housing pilot.
Change air intake bonnet
Stab new gear housing thru armature
Assemble reverse of sissassembly
