This is an authentic Craftsman replacement part manufactured for use with gas powered trimmers. The throttle trigger is used as an actuator that engages the throttle cable in opening the carburetor to add more fuel/air mix into the combustion chamber. This throttle trigger is sold as an individual replacement part, please see model diagram for associative parts.

I had no instructions but honestly, I just disassembled what I had to in order to get to the point where the throttle cable fastened to the engine. Slow and steady and the repair was very simple. ereplacementparts.com is a life saver! A small engine house wanted to charge me $120-$140 for this simple repair. I did it myself for just under $17!!!
