The throttle cable connects to the trigger, then down to the throttle lever on the carburetor, over time it may wear out or get damaged eventually requiring a replacement.     Before starting, take a picture, then take another when you remove the screws the hold the handle together. This will help with reassembly and spring placement.

    1. Removed 5 screws
    2. Removed broken throttle trigger
    3. Installed new throttle trigger (Attached throttle cable, attached spring, slid new trigger into place)
    4. Put back tongether with same 5 screws
    5. Started it up and went to work

    Previous throttle cable was installed incorrectly and missing an end. Throttle trigger was broken.

    Removed air filter cover and replaced previous cable attached to the throttle with new one. Removed throttle trigger cover replaced trigger with new one and fed new cable to connect with it.

    Placed new trigger in the same area where old trigger was , the only snag was the cable that trigger attaches to. I had to figure out that the cable had to go in a same slot where electric wires go for the stop button, otherwise I could not close the trigger assembly all the way. So if you run in to a snag that trigger assembly will not close, the cable needs to be put in to a channel for things to work.

    1. Opened the handle assembly.
    2. Removed the broken trigger careful not to drop the spring.
    3. Installed the new trigger with spring.
    4. Removed bad stop switch.
    5. Install new stop switch.
    6. Re-install the trigger/handle assembly in proper position on the shaft.
    7. Test.

    Remove all torx screws except for the center screw from the trigger housing. Remove broken trigger/spring assy., Remove spring from trigger & install spring on new trigger. Install new trigger/spring assy. in trigger housing. install screws.

    It was really easy and quick trimmer now runs again. Make sure you look to see how the spring is installed. The trigger would be better if made from metal as the plastic does not last long.

    Unscrew the throttle housing, take throttle cable off of trigger, remove spring from trigger, retain the throttle spring and place onto new trigger. Pay attention to how you take spring off. Re-assemble and you're done. Pretty simple.
