Easy to find this replacement switch on their website even though the original part had been discontinued.
This switch was a substitute, since the original part was discontinued. It fit in the sweeper housing perfectly and had the correct electrical specifications.

Easy repair—shipping cost was almost the same as part
Part was delivered in correct timeframe, as promised. However, shipping cost was almost as expensive as part, itself. I was in no rush so I ordered economy delivery for an item that weighed less than an ounce. Not sure why shipping was so expensive. However, I did get the exact part I needed.

The repair was simple. The removal of about 10 screws took the top off the motor housing assembly revealing the wiring and switch but not affecting the integrity of the motor at all. The wiring was had crimped spade connectors that pulled off the old switch and right on to the replacement. The new switch provided by eReplacement Parts was a perfect match for the original which was not available anywhere on the web or from Sears.
