THE STARTER HOUSING WAS A PERFECT REPLACEMENT--MY WEEDEATER STARTS VERY EASILY NOW, THAT DEFINETLY CURED THE PROBLEM.

The part was what we ordered
We needed the little white pieces that keep the rope in place. Thought they would come, with the part we ordered. We still need that part but can't find any number to order it

    Doest fit correctly
Doesnt fit correctly and you pay for shipping to return it not worth purchasing from the site complete waste of time and money never again

Over priced, wrong part, bad customer service
The shipping for these cheap replacements, even when the correct item is shipped, makes it unfeasible to purchase. Once I waited a week to receive the wrong part, I called to inquire about shipping back and received horrible service. Returned regardless and purchased for $15 from else where. Save your time and $.

It did not fit on my weedeater correctly.
My part came in on time and looks similar to the assembly I removed. When I tightened the screws on the assembly attaching it to the weedeater the pull cord would not retract. Once I loosened the screws the cord would retract. It seems something is not mic'ed correctly.

Removed the old recoil assembly. Looked at the 2 spring loaded flippers that engage the recoil mechanism, determined that they needed pinned back to install the new recoil housing. Used 2 twigs that were smooth and about 6 inches long. Put housing on the trimmer and lastly took out the twigs so that the spring loaded flippers could engage the recoil mechanism.
Don't get too rough pulling on the rope when starting, the internal spring acts as a shock absorber to make it a smooth pull on the motor. Yanking on the rope will only break the internal spring.
If you aren't into replacing the recoil mechanism they make a drill motor attachment to turn over the engine that works pretty slick.
