Screwdriver, Pliers, Torx, wd40 clean dirt, cutter to open vacuum pack careful

Took photo
Removed 4 x Torx screws
Removed starter housing
Took photo of inside
Unscrewed screw
Removed wheel
Took photo of loose washers
Stored loose washers
Took photo of broken spring to get approximate orientation
Untied handle knot
Sprayed parts with Wd40 and cleaned
Matched wheel, cord and housing with new spring in package orientation
Using xacto knife cut spring out of vacuum pack very carefully
Lifted broken clip out of housing and wheel and cleaned plastic
Oriented spring in housing checking all clips slip in to retaining locations
Replaced washers as in photo
Pushed spring in place and removed wire
Rotated as indicated to catch clips
Insert and tighten screw
Spring jumped and had to remove and wrap spring again holding and push into housing
Rotated to apply tension as indicated
Used needle nose pliers to guide through housing
Push cord through handle and tie figure 8 knot
Test pull string amd rewind
Replace housing on blower
Tighten 4 Torx screws
Fuel and start blower

I think the sprung spring explanation tips would calm people when it happens and help them recover.
