    Bearing in spindle failed, cracked the housing of the spindle.

    I raised the mower with a jack and removed the deck drive belt from the damaged spindle. Removed the blade from the damaged spindle, 15/16 socket used to remove the blade. I then removed the four bolts, 3/8 socket used for this step, that attached the spindle to the deck. Removed the damaged spindle from the deck, replaced it with the new spindle, bolted it into place on the deck. I then reattached the blade to the new spindle, replaced the deck drive belt, lowered the mower onto the ground and was ready to mow.

    2. Unbolted the old housing.
    3. Replaced with the new.
    4. Replaced the mower deck and installed the belt.

    Bearings went bad on blade spindle

    Removed the blade, then removed the spindle.
    4 bolts held it on and replace new one .
