Question: Seat Inlet-(691780)

188762

I have some crud behind the seat inlet, I'm planning to replace it, but I'm not sure how to remove it. Or would it be easier to remove the connector hose inlet? I have the carb. off and on the bench . Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Question: Needle And Seat Replacement

lathrop

I have a coleman PowerMate Gen Set with a B&S 8hp 4 stroke engine. Model # 197412 Type 0124-03
when I open the fuel valve the fuel flows thru the fuel pump and past the needle and seat flooding the carb. The float appears to be intact and the needle does not appear to be excessively orn or damaged. I am not sure how I remove the Seat as it is not visible to me. Is there any reson other than a malfunctioning float needle/seat that this would be happening.
The carb may have no needle seat if the tip of the needle is rubber. I would advise replacing the float, needle, seat (if equipped) and polishing the needle bore if it still doesn't work.
