This Pad is designed for the "Adhesive Backed" Sanding Pads.rnThe (PSA) sander pad is a direct replacement for many Dewalt orbital sanders. It is a genuine Dewalt part, not off-brand. It features a foam body attached to a metal backing plate. It also has a sturdy smooth style bottom for use with sticky adhesive sandpaper. This pad does not have vacuum holes. It is 5" in diameter.
This pad is compatible with the Dewalt sanders listed below.
This pad is interchangeable with sanders fitted with 5" hook-and-loop pads. If you prefer to fit your sander with hook-and-loop sandpaper instead of adhesive, you will need the hook-and-loop pad listed under "Related Products" below. Model compatibility is the same.

2. Aligned the three thru holes on the Replacement Parts furnished sanding platform with the three threaded holes in the aluminum, belt-driven part of the Sander;
3. Hand-started each of the three Phillips screws to assure proper fit and avoid cross threading;
4. Tightened each screw until very loosely seated;
5. Started incrementally tightening each screw until each screw was tightly seated, then tightened.
6. Regularly during use I recheck the tightness of the three screws since, over time, they can loosen. I may consider using Locktight on the threads but would need to go buy some first.
