Product Description ?

This cork rubber plate is an OEM replacement part. It is designed for the Makita 9924DB Belt Sander. This part provides a cushion to absorb some of the pressure being placed on the steel plate (sold separately as part 341705-6). It should be replaced if worn out or damaged. A screwdriver is needed to replace this part.

    Two screws remove old plate. Install new plate and cork pad. Install 2 screws.
    Super easy. The belt sander needed some love. She has her new parts and is running like new. Brett

    Steel back up plate wore out

    Very easily to replace parts.
    Unplug the belt sander.
    Turn the belt sander upside down. Take off the abrasive belt. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the two front screws and remove the metal backup and cork plate.
    Install the cork and then metal plate aligning the holes and replace the screws.
    Snuggly tighten the two screws.
    Replace abrasive belt. Ready to sand.

    Bought the tool used and parts were missing so decided to refurbish the sander

    Removed what was left of the old cork pad, installed new cork pad then the metal plate tightened two screws. Installed new dust bag and it all worked great.

    Uneven sanding marks due to heat warped sanding plate

    Removed belt. Unscrewed the 2 screws that hold the bottom plate and cork plate to the base. Removed old parts and installed the new cork and steel plates. Tightened the 2 mounting screws. Reinstalled the belt and tracked it to true. 3 minutes time, and I now have a smooth and flat sanding job again!

    Removed sanding belt
    Removed base plate cork plate and steel plate (4 machine screws)
    Removed "E" clip on front "tension" roller and removed roller (save 2 bearing shield cups)
    Removed drive belt cover
    Removed drive belt
    Removed drive gear cover (2 machine screws)
    Removed "E" clip and washers on drive roller and removed roller (save the bearing shield cup)
    Install saved bearing shields on new Drive roller(1) and Tension roller(2)
    Reinstall replacement parts in reverse order of disassembly

    Remove the screws until dismantled. Remove the bearing plate and the pad. Reinstall in reverse order.
