Product Description ?

This rubber bar is for orbital sanders and measures approximately 3.5-inches long. Due to its rubber material, it can stretch and wear out over time, which can cause the sandpaper to not hold in place properly. This is also a good opportunity to inspect the clamp bar and sander pad for signs of wear. For this repair no tools are required, position one end of the rubber bar over one end of the metal bar and stretch it so that it covers the entire part.

  • Bosch 1297DK Sander Grips again!
The Bosch 1297DK front clamp for the 1/4 sheet of sandpaper grips again. The replacement Rubber Bar did the trick. Easy install is to slide one end on the clamp and then really stretch it to slide it on the other end of the clamp. Done!

    Exact Part
This part turned this back into a usable sander. Without II, useless as paper just slipped out.

    A necessary part
It holds the sandpaper in, but with use it stretches and comes off the bat that holds it. The new one is cheap and effective. Fixed cost for shipping, so be sure to buy more than one.

Unplug the sander before working on it.

Remove phillips head screws, take old pad off, insert new pad & reinstall screws.

Rubber bar must be stretched over metal plate; one must hold down the open button. It takes patience since the rubber bar must fit around all edges of the metal plate.

Replacing the sander pad & rubber bar is done.
