    Noise when started chain saw

    I took the chain off then started saw for noise then took sprocket and gear off started saw looked and found broken teeth on the gear and semi worn roller bearings, replaced them started saw no more noise. Off to cut wood again.

    1. Remove the plastic chain shroud.
    2. Unbolt the chain bar and remove.
    3. Unbolt the worn sprocket gear.
    4. Simple replacement of two bearings after packing with grease.
    5. Add grease on the sprocket gear.
    6. Install the new parts and remount the chain bar.
    7. Adjust the blade tension.

    Missing needle bearing on the clutch wheel housing axle

    Cleaned the entire chainsaw unit.
    After removing the clutch housing, I installed the missing needle bearing, then reinstalled the clutch housing, reinstalled the bar and chain and tightened the bar to the desired chain tension.
    Now, the saw works fine.

    Removed chain and chain bar.
    Removed gear.
    Replaced gear with new bearings
    Replaced chain bar and chain.
    And it works like new.....

    I removed the cover, then the chain and bar. Removed the the broken sprocket gear and replaced the the two roller bearings. Put it all back together. Runs and cuts great now.
