I need to repair or replace my four port regulator with a kit or a new regulator so will kit N008792 be the correct kit? The regulator P/N is AC-0007 which is discontinued. Also is there a good replacement regulator for my Sears air compressor model 919-16503?
Jerry Chanen for model number Sears Air Compressor 919-16503
Hello Jerry, thank you for your inquiry! Unfortunately for your model 919165030, the correct regulator (p/n AC-0007) has been discontinued with no alternatives or substitutes. I apologize for the inconvenience.
If N008792 will not repair my regulator, will a complete manifold from another 6 gal. pancake or other thread into my C2002 type-4. If I would have to purchase a manifold to repair mine, might as well purchase one I can buy regulator repair parts for. Also was advised this is a common & often problem. Thank you, A. Marzitello

Does this kit come with everything including the regulator handle and work for this model
Eric for model number D55146 type 4
Hello Eric, thank you for inquiring. This replacement for your model contains the regulator handle.
Hi Guys, curious which model the 225psi version is. I bought this compressor and it's missing the all the components and the knob on the upper hole. All you can see if the brass colored nipple, when pressed releases air and then a female port with threads which I assume the regulator threads in to. I'd like to know if this kit will provide the missing pieces needed to get the compressor to work. Tank is completely full, just can't get any air out of it because I believe the regulator was set to zero and then either removed or broken off before use. Thanks!
Chris Rowe for model number D55168 225psi
Hello Chris, thank you for contacting us, In order for us to locate the correct parts and repair information we will require the type number of the unit. Once you have located the type number please feel free to resubmit the question and we will be happy to help you. Look forward to hearing from you!

Which regulator rebuilt kit do i need. How much total price including shipping. Thanks.
Bob for model number C2002 porter cable air compressor
Hello Bob, thank you for your inquiry! I apologize to inform you, but there is not a regulator kit available for your model C2002. Please reach out to Porter Cable directly at 1 (888) 848-5175. Thank you.
My compressor will build air pressure but does not transfer air for external port when adjustment knob is turned. What is the problem and what repair parts do you offer for this problem?
Kevin for model number C2002 Type 3
Hi Kevin and thank you for your inquiry. I would start by taking apart the regulator apart and inspecting it and cleaning it out. Might also be a good time to just purchase a rebuild kit and rebuild it at the same time. It may just be dirty inside thou. I cannot think of anything else that would cause this. Hope this helps and good luck with your repair.

The regulator on my compressor was leaking
Because I had a Type 2 of this particular compressor, I had two choices. Replace the whole manifold ($70+) or try the Regulator rebuild ($22). I took to lesser of the two and hoped it would fix it. It did. You must remove the two bolts holding the manifold to the frame and then remove the lock ring holding the regulator to the frame as well. Then pull the manifold out to get at the regulator. There were not instructions on disassembling the regulator, so you gotta figure it out. All you can really do is try to duplicate the exploded diagram. Replace ALL of the parts, don't have left overs!! Use plenty of the included lube too. Reverse the dis-assembly order and you should be fine.

Regulator Repair Kit - N008792
Repair Difficulty:
Easy
Time Spent Repairing:
15-30 minutes
Tools Used:
Wrench Set, star bit socket, 3/8 ratchet, channel lock pliers
Air was leaking from the regulator preventing the compressor from getting up to the correct pressure.
Remove the star bit screws that hold the regulator assembly to the metal shroud. it is not necessary to remove the shroud. Manipulate the assembly out into the open and using a wrench remove the nut from the bottom. Replace with new parts following the provided instructions. The diagram is easy to follow. next, turn the regulator upright and remove the plastic adjustment knob. I used channel lock pliers to remove the plastic screw in part of the upper assembly. You don't have to squeeze hard, just firmly. replace with new parts and simply reassemble. It's that simple. Make sure to lightly oil the parts where indicated and fire that bad boy up and get back to work.
