This upper rack assembly in your dishwasher is where you place your dishes, glasses, and utensils before starting a wash cycle. It is 23 inches wide and 23 inches deep. Signs of wear include loose or wobbly wheels, stains, or general wear and tear. Bent, damaged, or rusted tines also call for replacement. To do so, open the dishwasher door and pull out the rack slightly. Remove the end caps from the rails by pressing down on the top and pulling out the locking tab at the bottom on both sides. Take out the old rack assembly and place it next to the new one. Transfer the spray arm by flipping the assembly on its side, removing it by pressing on the two tabs, and unscrewing the holding nut. Detach the spray arm and remove the base assembly by pushing down on the tabs when the assembly is upside down. Attach the new base assembly by aligning it with the center hole, locking one side in place, and snapping the other side on. Insert the spray arm and secure it with the nut. Clip on the piece until it locks into place. Slide the new rack assembly into the dishwasher, ensuring the wheels align with the rails. Push it all the way in and reattach the end caps by sliding them down and pressing them to lock them. Please keep in mind that this OEM assembly is sold separately from the lower rack assembly.
