This piston ring is an authentic Ridgid replacement part sourced from the original manufacturer for use with finish nailers. Piston rings can wear from normal use, it is recommended to replace worn piston rings to ensure a good seal inside the cylinder. The piston ring is sold individually, please see model diagram for additional parts.

  • Pert was as described, but delivery time was long
    The parts I ordered were as described and the cost was reasonable. One of the two parts I ordered went out of stock and instead of shipping the in-stock part, they waited until the out-of-stock part to arrive. Not a big deal for me, just frustrating.

    replaced collar. All other o-rings appeared to still be good, so did not replace. Replaced piston ring as a precaution, but was still in good shape. Tested nailer and works as it should. the new collar did the job.

    1. Removed the four screws from the cap and removed it
    2. Removed the defective collar and piston ring
    3. Installed the new collar and piston ring
    4. Cleaned the inside of the nail gun throughout
    5. Oiled the internal parts of the nail gun
    6. Replaced the cap with the four screws
