Product Description ?

This is a genuine OEM approved replacement part designed for use with Hitachi nailers. It is the part of the nail gun that drives the nail into the material that is being used. These assemblies do have a tendency to bend or break if not used correctly or if you are driving nails into extra hard material. Includes a metal piston, driver and the o-ring.

To help extend the life of a pneumatic tool use the specified oil in it daily 4-5 Drops will do every time you use it.

To replace this part you would need a hex key/allen wrench.

• First you want to remove the exhaust cover
• Remove old piston assembly and install new one
• Secure the cover and test the unit

    I removed the four hex head screws from the top cover. I was able then to remove the broken driver and the piece that broke off. I cleaned the inside of the gun and oiled it. Then put the new o-ring on the piston, then inserted the driver into the cylinder. Placed the the top cover back on, and tightened the screws diagonally to keep equal pressure on the cover. Now the gun works like a new one.

    Remove the for bolts from the top cap and remove the cap. Remove the old piston, then place the o-ring on the new piston and insert it into the cylinder. Clean the surfaces of where the new gasket is to be placed, be careful not to scratch or mar them. Place gasket on the tool and attach the top cap with the four bolts.

    Remove the trigger hold pin.
    Remove the four bolts from the bottom cover.
    Remove the old piston bumper.
    Remove the piston assy.
    Put the new piston assy.
    And the new piston bumper
    Spray wd-40 inside little bit.
    Put everything together and make a test.

    Driver broke off of piston

    Removed 4 large Allen bolts at top of nailer.
    Removed damaged piston driver.
    Inspected cylinder, bumper, gaskets and o rings.
    Apply oil to o ring and piston/cylinder.
    Installed new piston driver and o ring.
    Reinstalled cap and 4 Allen bolts.

    Broken piston and crack bumper

    Unscrew four screws and pull up the cover and pushed out the broken piston. And for the bumper remove four more screws the tip of the nail gun take out the old bumper put the new one and start putting everything back together.
