They also help keep the burners securely in place. Over time, your carryover tubes may rust or warp. This would be the time to replace them.

I took out the old parts. The burners were the hardest to remove because the screws were rusted. I had to drill them out. Otherwise it went together very well. It was also tricky trying to plug in the new electrode, but I eventually got it. All the parts were exactly the same as the original at half the price as other stores or busin esses!!

Rusted out heat tent and tubes

All screws and parts were rusted and seared together

1. Had to order parts twice since there was no way to replace the cross over tubes without replaceing the main burner tubes.
2. Had to drill out the screws holding the main burners then get an easy out. This alone took several hours and a few drill bits that were destroyed.

Burner tubes, heat tents, carryover tubes corroded.

Remove the old corroded parts and replaced with the new parts. Hardest to change were the burner tubes because of the screw on each was badly corroded. Used vice grips to clamp on the screw heads and break loose. Then used common screwdriver to remove.

Insides of gas grill were all rusted away and burner tubes were cracked.

Carefully removed all the old grates, heat tents, burner tubes and carry overtubes. Gave everything a good cleaning and reassembled with new parts. Went fairly smooth with the exception of few rusty screws and bolts.

Removed all old parts; vise grip pliers to remove old carry over tube screws. New tubes have new screws provided.
Remove igniter from old burner save old screws.
Remove screw from old burner, save screw.
Scrape and vacuum \"debris\" from grill bottom and sides.
Install new burner and original igniter. Tighten scr ews, turn on gas and test fire (good).
Install 3 new carry over tubes with provided hardware. Test all burners (good).
Install 4 heat tents.
Install original grill grates. Ready to go!

Many parts were rusted out. Burner leaked gas. Carryover tubes completely inoperative. Diffusers rusted into pieces.

1. Removed Grill and Heat Diffusers. Replaced Heat shield (two easy screws).
2. Used pliers to remove rusted carryover tube screws (most time consuming)
3. Replaced burner and installed carryover tubes (just a few screws).
4. Installed new Heat Diffusers (set them in) and put grill back.

Screws holding burners were rusted in. I just drilled them out and used larger screws. Parts arrived quickly and were exactly as ordered , removed the old heat tents and put in the new ones fit perfectly.. Thanks for the fast service.

The screws on the burners and carryover tubes were all rusted and corroded and had to be drilled out. The new ones fit in perfectly. Removed the old grates and heat tents and replaced them by hand. Now I have a new grill again.

Grill would not keep lit

1, I removed the grill covers and main burner covers
2. I unscrewed the rusted out carry-over tubes and installed the new ones and one main burner tube.
3. Cleaned grill and used it that night to cook out.
