This is a genuine OEM replacement part designed for use with some Handheld String Trimmers. This filter is made out of Foam and it is sold individually. The purpose of this filter is to keep dirt and other small particles from entering the carburetor and engine and causing internal engine damage. Once this type of filter gets clogged or dirty it should be changed (Not Cleaned). This is to prevent restricted air flow and foreign matter from entering the engine.
Removed two screws off the back of the air cleaner assembly, air cleaner backing plate comes off, simply replace with new plate and replace screws. Snap on air cleaner cover with new air cleaner in place. Couldn\'t have been easier.
Went on line to the eReplacement Parts website. entered serial number, view appropriate diagram. Selected the necessary parts, placed my order and waited for the parts to arrive. Once they arrived I installed parts and went to work using the trimmed. This repair was simple because it only involved removing and replacing a few screws.
Ordered the housing which included the cover and back of the air cleaner housing. Install the air filter into the air cleaner assembly. Thread in the two screws provide to attach it.
I volunteer at a state park and didn\'t realize I had lost it.
I had to remove two screws from the half of the remaining part of the assembly and remove it.
Placed the new part in position and replaced the screws and popped on the other half and it was ready to go.
I just had to replace missing parts. The parts that i received fit great and were cheap....no adjusting or cutting to make it fit they just snapped together like they were factory made. 1 Drain the gas out of tank
2 Open air cleaner cover and filter
3 Use a screwdriver to unscrew fuel tank and carburetor and remove
4 Use a small pick tool to remove carburetor O-Ring
5 Install fuel tank and then O-Ring an air cleaner gasket on top of the carburetor put air filter and cover on.
6 Fill with gas

Removed air cleaner,
Removed carburetor
Removed old spark plug.
Cleaned around area where carburetor goes.
Installed new carburetor
Installed new air cleaner gasket
Tightened all bolts.
Installed new spark plug.
Unit started right up and now runs like new.
