Downloaded the parts diagram for the trimmer....on the internet
Removed screws from handle assembly. Took one terminal at a time from the old switch and put it in the same place on the new switch. Put housing back together. I then pulled the defective lever out of the spool holder, then pressed the new one back in.
Both items installed without any problems and the trimmer worked as good as new - saving me the expense of replacing it with a new trimmer.

2. Removed old switch and disconnected two wires from switch being sure to memorize polarity.
3. Attached wires to new switch and placed in handle.
4. Replaced handle cover.
