    Easy Repair
I let my father borrow my weed eater. When I got it back I realized he had lost the lever. When I used the weed eater the holding mechanism was not holding the string because it was missing the lever. I ordered the lever and in 1 week I was using my weed eater again :)

Pliers used to pull off bad/sheared off lever. Replaced lever with new lever. Easy. Great to be able to replace the part instead of replacing the trimmer. Works like new with replacement lever.

Parts arrived in the mail - accuracy of the order was spot on!
Downloaded the parts diagram for the trimmer....on the internet

Removed screws from handle assembly. Took one terminal at a time from the old switch and put it in the same place on the new switch. Put housing back together. I then pulled the defective lever out of the spool holder, then pressed the new one back in.

Both items installed without any problems and the trimmer worked as good as new - saving me the expense of replacing it with a new trimmer.

    Much appreciation and thanks!!

Took spool off weed eater. Removed twine from spool and there is a hole where the part snaps in. Very easy to remove if the part is still attached. A screwdriver will snap it right up and you install the new one in same direction. This part regulates how much twine comes out of the trimmer. This type of trimmer does not need bumping to have the twine come out. When the twine does not come out, I discovered that the little part moves back and forth allowing the string to move. This part is in the casement where the spool comes out to restring the twine.

Remove the cover by pressing on the side tabs and pulling it out. Then remove the spool. Inside the upper housing you will see the lever, take some pliers and pull it out and then just press the new one on. Install the spool in the housing and let some line out. Then place the missing spring on top of the cover and line up the tabs to the holes in the upper housing and press it in.
