Difficulty

Hard

Time

1-2 hours

Tools Used

Screwdriver, Pliers, Nutdriver, flash light

1)Removed power from Dryer
2) Removed lower back panel of Dryer revealing Dryer drum belt & tension pulley
3) Removed pulley spring (tension now off drum belt)
4) Lifted the top of dryer
5) Removed front panel by removing screws on top left & top right sides
Pulled panel up and off bottom clip's
6) Removed dryer drum by removing 3 hub screw's (re-assembly took the longest)
7) Removed hold-down motor bracket with screwdriver
8) Removed motor shaft from Dryer vent (reverse threaded)
9) Removed motor and replaced with new motor
10) Reassembled in reverse order. (steps 8 to 1)
The hardest part of repair was reattaching the drum to the hub and lining up the 3 screw holes while holding & balancing the drum. I finally used an awl to temperarily hold the drum in one hole and moved the hub to find the next hole.
