, small torx driver.

The motor is modular, cannot replace brushed. *Split driver case and removed motor (before removing motor note where slide on connectors are and how the motor sits in the case) it comes free of heliacal gears at drive end. Small plastic place needs to be switched from drive end of old motor to new. Be careful when reassembling that the reversing switch engages with the slot red plastic slide.

*Splitting the case involves not only the torx screws but removing a u shaped clip at the back of the battery compartment. I popped it out with a small screwdriver holding the drill upside down so that the clip wouldn't fly across the room.
