Easy re[asir for a weedwhacker that starts fouling the string
I've had to replace this housing before, the lower guard that keeps the string out of the motor periodically shears off, and this quick and easy replacement fixes the problem with twenty minutes worth of work. eReplacementParts always delivers the correct part immediatley, saving a lot of aggravation !!

    Perfect replacement part!
The replacement motor housing parts for my Ryobi weeder arrived and were a perfect replacement. The screw housings that held the shield in place broke on the original due to the torque from all of the switching from weeder to edger. If the old housing pieces were not so obviously used I wouldn't have been able to tell which were OEM. Very good quality, easy to order and I feel there will be a nice return on this investment. I'll be back for sure.

Great service, fast shipping, easy to find the right part.
This part made my string trimmer usable again! Not a difficult repair, just a little tricky.

Exactly what I needed & cheap!
The string guard was broken off our trimmer and it connects to the motor housing, so I bought this replacement. I was amazed at how cheap it was! The repair took a little longer than expected because you have to remove the upper assembly to get the motor housing off, but it’s totally worth it. Save the screws you remove and re-use them. For $10 bucks, I feel like we’ve got a new trimmer! It saved us from having to buy a new one.

Screwdriver, Power Drill, Nutdriver, extended star-headed bit needed

Ryobi makes it hard to replace a string guard as the motor housing actually has to be replaced as well. The screws are counter-sunk and need an extended star-headed bit to back them out. And one screw had to be drilled out because it was too deep for an extended star-bit to reach.

I simply replaced it with a self-tapping screw to put the unit back together.

Once done, the parts were exact and everything is working fine.

First removed upper housing by removing screws. Pull off yellow ring. Remove screws on lower housing. The housings are in two sections that are held with the screws. When disassembling, remember where they are positioned on motor housing. Press the new part halves together around the motor housing and place the yellow ring around the upper end. Reattach with screws. Replace the upper housing and handle with screws.
