My Weber grill is 20 years old now this summer so the old regulator/hose connection was pretty well stuck to the gas manifold. Very difficult to get leverage to loosen from underneath the grill. So I took the opportunity to take the grates, flavorizer bars out and give the grill a good cleaning. Once those were out I took the manifold out for easier access to the regulator/hose. After that, it was much easier to simply unscrew the old hose and attach the new. While I added a few steps to the process, it was still a very simple repair.

I have an old Weber grill. The old hose/regulator connection to the propane tank was not compatible to the newer tank (larger thread) connection.

Followed directions to use a wrench to loosen and take off hose from the BBQ to propane tank. Put some plumbers tape on the thread of the new hose. Hand tightened, and used a wrench for a 1/4 turn to tighten. Connected other end to the tank and hand tightened the screw. Checked to see if it works and the BBQ is working again!

I have a twenty year old Weber grill that has never been inside. It was in need of attention. Over the years all that I done to it was replace a crossover tube and the flavorizer bars. I thought about replacing it with either a new Weber or another cheaper grill. First, understand I love my Weber!! I decided that a cheaper grill just wouldn't do. I decided that I wouldn't purchase a new Weber, rather rebuild the one I had.
I stripped it down, cleaned it well, power washed it, repainted the black areas with high heat and satin paint. The last step was to install all new parts, tables burners, etc. I got to keep a grill I know well and love for less than the cost of a new Weber AND less than the cost of a cheaper grill.I doubt that this is possible with many other appliances.Did I say that I love my Weber? You will too. Thank you Weber for a great product and thank you eReplacementParts for having everything I needed.

3. After completion, tested the connection and set-up.
4. Please note: the "note" to apply plumbers putty to the threads appears in the instructions only after everything has been put together, and not in a very pronounced letter size! I actually missed that note.
5. Otherwise, there was no problem doing the replacement with the parts furnished.
