    Drive shaft rung off also bearings defective in gear housing assembly defective !

    Removed plastic guard ,quick change string assembly ,gear housing assembly and broken drive shaft cable with needle nose pliers .Lubricated new cable and reinstalled and then gear housing assembly ,string assembly and then plastic guard ! Basically a pretty simple operation !

    Metal on metal grinding near the trimmer head

    Super easy:
    1. Insert tiny screwdriver into the hole on the metal ring to lock it from spinning.
    2. Turn the head by hand to unscrew it.
    3. Loosen the phillips screw to release the bearing assembly
    4. Loosen the clamp bold to release the assembly from the shaft
    5. Slide off the bearing assembly
    6. Insert the new assembly
    7. Tighten all the screws
    8. Test
