Tractor is over 20 yrs. old. Thermostat by John Deere was obsolete. However found one at another site and ordered it with a new gasket. Parts arrived, proper thermostat, wrong gasket. Only place I found proper gasket was e-replacement. Should have visited this sight first. Will do the next time. This was a LX188 John Deere Mower with a Kawasaki liquid cooled engine. Had to drain radiator, and remove it, remove air plenum and fan just to get to the thermostat. Reassembled and proceeded to mow grass November 16, ?????November?????, that's Oklahoma weather for you.
