This is an authentic manufacturer-sourced part which is specially designed for use with Briggs and Stratton engines commonly installed on lawn and garden equipment. The purpose of this gasket is to provide a tight seal for the cylinder head plate. Unfortunately, over time it will wear out and it may begin to crack eventually requiring a replacement to ensure peak performance.
