2. Purchased a similar non-OEM belt & installed it.
3. New belt more than once comes off the pully
4. Review the condition of the tensioner pully & components finding worn pully bearing & mounting plate.
5. Purchased pully assembly, mounting plate & bushing.
6. Installed new parts & belt continues to come off.
7. Reviewed non- OEM-belt dimensions against worn belt finding that the new belt was 1/16” narrower at the wide section.
8. Removed the new belt and re-installed the original cracked & worn belt. That worn belt is still working through a complete lawn mowing experience. (Knock on wood). Lesson learned - bushings & bracket wear on the tensioner assembly was enough to throw the belt off. When it finally breaks I will bite the bullet and spend the money on an OEM belt that has the correct width.
