Description:

Drive belt was worn, cracked and stretched. It was coming off regularly.

Remove shifter knob and plate between dash and seat. Lift mower from rear with hoist or jack stands. Loosen post that keeps belt on pulley toward front. Pull tensioner pulley toward chute side to release tension and remove belt from front and rear pulleys. Disconnect shift lever from transmission lever underneath mower on non chute side. Loosen square bracket inside body by loosening two bolts inside same side fender.Remove old belt and install new belt putting in over the front pulley last by rotating pulley while feeding the belt on. Tighten everything you loosened.
Have plenty of antibiotic ointment and band aids handy. Your hands and wrists are going need them.

Belt broke

Remove cover and broken belt. Remove 2 bolts from behind tire, Then remove the bracket and put the belt on.

Perfect fit!
