This replacement drive cable also known as an operator presence or blade control cable is commonly utilized on MTD and Troy-Bilt walk-behind lawn mowers. The purpose of a drive cable is to stop the engine when the user lets go of the handle. When the cable is damaged or broken, the mower becomes temporarily inoperable so the cable needs to be replaced. Please note one rubber insulated drive cable is included per order. Replacing this part is pretty simple task that should only require a screwdriver to remove the cover.
