Questions & Answers

When my unit is sitting flat being stored, after a good while it will start to leak. (month or so before it leaks) is this a defect in the drain plug, or is my diesel seeping though the drain plug?
Michael for model number mh-135t-kfa
Hi Michael, Thank you for your question. Kerosene should can be stored from one to six months. Any longer than this time frame and the kerosene will break down and start to absorb water. Kerosene should not be stored in a heater. Kerosene should be bought in small quantities, so it it always fresh to allow the heater to work correctly. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Drain plug was leaking fuel
the old plug came out in pieces as it broke pulling it out with pliers. The new plug was a very very snug fit and took a little bit of maneuvering to place. Once in it worked perfect. I bought a few drain plugs for this heater to have on hand in case it happens again and i won't have to pay shipping on a $2 part

Old drain plug began to leak.
Replaced the old and hardened drain plug (it was beginning to leak) with the new one. Pulled the old one out with pliers and pushed the new one in by hand. Easy.
