Product Description ?

This part is an OEM from Craftsman for use with Lawn Mowers. The control cable engages the gear case to drive the lawn mower. The plastic handle broke and could not be repaired.

    , T-20 socket and a driver

    1. Removed the control from the handle, using a T-20 Torx socket and driver. Save the screws, since the new part does not come with screw replacements.
    2. A choice exists. Reuse the old cable assembly, try not to disturb the adjustment if the cable was otherwise working fine. Otherwise the old cable assembly must be removed from the machine and the new one installed. As a starting point, try to duplicate the adjustment from the old cable.
    3. Assemble the new part onto the handle, once the cable is first installed onto the machine if the old cable was completely removed.
4.Reuse the 5 screws if they are in good condition, 2 to attach the control to the operator´s handle and 3 for the cover.
Try everything out carefully to be sure everything works properly. Follow the instructions in the book as needed regarding belt adjustment.
