Modern magnetos have a much shorter mean time to failure than the older models. Planned obsolescence. It's great to have a place to order them from.
Installed it, set the magneto gap, and got HOT blue sparks. Just like new. Actually, I think it's better than new. The 2 cycle runs better than it did out of the box.

Fixed the problem.
A bit concerned due to the circular wire that attaches to the spark plug came out with the plug. Wish I had replaced it before installing the boot. I was able to push it back into the wire boot and it worked. Not sure if it will a problem the next time the spark plug is replaced. We'll see??

After magnito removal two washer's looking up at me, thinking ??? Where did these come from? Then noticed "huh black spacer" well, I have no idea where they came from. HELP!!

Hi Charles, Thank you for writing. The washers and the spacers go between the magneto and the engine. The spacers go up against the engine and the washers go between the spacers and the magneto. Good luck with your repair.

What is the proper clearance between the assembly and the rotating magnet?

Hi Benjamin and thank you for contacting us. The easy way to set the gap is with a business card as it is the same clearance. Loosen the bolts securing the magneto then insert the business card between it and the flywheel rotate the magnets on the flywheel to the magneto and let the magnets pull it into place, tighten the bolts and remove the business card. Removed starter rope assembly.
Removed front cover and shaft assembly.
Removed engine and sat next to front cover and shaft assembly.
Removed and replaced ignition coil
Adjusted coil gap using a business card.
Reassembled in reverse order.
Cranked on 3rd or 4th pull.
Much cheaper that having it serviced or replaced!!!
