Removed battery.
Removed all screws from clamshell.
Transfered all parts to the new clamshell.
Tightened all screws.
Tested the tool.

Only one screwdriver was needed to complete the repair.

Broken clamshell by the battery holder

1. Laid down a piece of cardboard on table, the internals of the tool has grease and could
be a little messy.
2. Removed front facing torx screws on body
3. Removed clamshell screws.
4. Peel base sticker over battery holder.
5. Pulled apart one half of clam shell.
6. Carefully removed internals.
NOTE:
A: Be aware of cable routing for trigger and LED light wires.
B: Be cautious on motor removal, 2 retainer clips hold bearings.
7. Swapped top selector switch detent pins from both sides of old clamshell.
8. Installed internals.
9. Closed it up and reinstalled clamshell screws and forward facing motor screws.

Drill started smoking during very heavy use and then stopped working. Rear bearing got too hot and melted the case and the bearing cap.

1. Removed four screws retaining front gearbox/ chuck assembly to the case.
2. Removed all case half screws
3. Removed all internal parts from an old case, don't miss the detents for the speed selector switch!
4. Scraped melted plastic off rear bearing
5. Installed internals into the new case
6. Installed screws and tested, OK. Easy repair.
