Nolan asked on 2020-01-13
Hello Nolan, thank you for contacting us, In order for us to locate the correct parts and repair information we will require the model number of the Engine. Once you have located the model number please feel free to resubmit the question and we will be happy to help you. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
I purchase this snow blower from Lowe's in Feb 2017. I have cleaned the carburetor once in 2017 before the next winter. Early this it have problem again can't start. Which kit should I buy. And why the carburetor and kits are very expensive? the whole machine is $600 and carburetor is $67. it is way to expensive.
Manpreet for model number Storm 2410 asked on 2019-10-22
Hello Manpreet, thank you for your inquiry! If the carburetor is clogged, try cleaning it with carburetor cleaner. If cleaning the carburetor isn't effective, rebuild or replace the entire carburetor. The carburetor might be clogged. A clogged carburetor is most commonly caused by leaving fuel in the snowblower for a long period of time. I hope this information helps!
who is the original manufacturer of this carburetor I'm getting conflicting information. I have a brand new snow blower with a shot carb and mine is made by Huayi. I went on MTD website and they are trying to sell the same brand. Is this also a Huayi and if so is this carburetor just going to die on me in a year also?
keith for model number 951-12705 asked on 2019-04-15
Hello Keith, thank you for your inquiry! We get all of our OEM parts directly from the manufacturer so the original manufacturer for this carburetor is MTD. I hope this information helps!
Does the carb assembly come with the needed gaskets?
David for model number 31am62n2711 asked on 2018-10-17
Hello David, Thank you for the question. The gaskets are sold separately from the Carburetor. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
Where might I find R&R instructions for this item.
David for model number 31am62n2711 asked on 2018-10-17

I was given a snowblower that sat for two years with ethenol blended gasoline in it.
After taking the bowl off of the carberator it became clear that a new carberator was going to be needed. I just had to remove the fuel tank and control panel for access to the carberator. Swap in new carberator and reassemble. Set idle speed and my snowblower is good to go at a fraction of what a repair shop would have charged.
