This carbon brush set is a genuine manufacturer sourced replacement part. It is specially produced for Metabo angle grinders. Carbon brushes play important role of conducting electric current in a motor. Because carbon brushes are wear items, over time through friction and use they will gradually wear away requiring replacement. It is advised to always replace both brushes at the same time. This set includes (2) carbon brushes with lead wires attached. Please note, brush holders are sold separately. You will need a screwdriver to complete this repair.

The interesting thing about this Metabo grinder was the built in wear buttons. When the brushes are worn out, a button and spring are exposed in the brush that pushes the brush away from contacting the commutator. This feature protects the grinder and extends its life when a new set of brushes is installed.
