Arrived in as timely a manner as can be expected in the apocalypse of the summer of 2020. Good quality part that is working as expected.

Easy repair. Part was as expected
Part replacement was received quickly. Worked as expected. Easy to change the cable assembly. Lawnmower run good until the previously purchased throttle bracket failed again. The plastic slider broke off right at the throttle cable eyelet.

Broken cable from brake/clutch pedal in front to clutch and brakes in rear of rider-mower

    William - July 25, 2021
    Tool Type

    Lawn Tractor

    Difficulty

    Medium

    Time

    1-2 hours

    Tools Used

    Pliers, Socket set, Wrench Set

After ten years of use, the cable broke at the foot pedal due to bending whenever the foot pedal was pressed down to stop the Snapper rider-mower. The five parts purchased together form part of a single system, however it would have been possible to purchase only the "Cable, Clutch" while salvaging and re-using the brake cable and other parts. After studying how the original clutch cable and brake cable were attached, it was not difficult to connect the replacement cables properly. I needed a second pair of hands to keep the front end of the cable from slipping down into and becoming lost in the connecting tube while I connected everything at the rear of the mower. Otherwise, this was a one-person job.

    Would not shift into Reverse

    Angelia - July 23, 2020
    Tool Type

    Lawn Mower

    Difficulty

    Medium

    Time

    30-60 minutes

    Tools Used

Screwdriver, Pliers, Socket set, Wrench Set

I disconnected the old cable with the broken part and then installed the new cable. Since my Snapper is designed to be stood on end, accessing the repair area was easier than with other mowers. The axel boots required removing the left wheel and I don't have a puller to do that so I cheated and slit the boots to put them on. Tightened the clamps and now the axle is mostly covered from debris.

    Parts worn or broken.

Tipped the machine up on the back bumper stands. Removed the rear tires and left hand fender from the lawn tractor.
Removed old cables and replaced with the new ones.
Cleaned parts that was going to be reused.
Cleaned and Greased the rear axe before installing the new rubber protective boots on the rear axel.
Re-assembled the rear axel assembly. I had to add nylon
shims to take up the slop between the rear axel and the
left hand tire bushing bearing prior to installing the left hand fender and tires.
Adjusted the chain case and brake cables as required.
Test ran the tractor after the repairs were made.
All pats fit and performed great. Tractor is running good !

Either I ordered the wrong part, or the wrong part was sent. It looked like the right part at the pedal connection, but it was much too short.

    Dennis - February 27, 2019
    Tool Type

    Lawn Mower

    Difficulty

    Hard

    Time

    1-2 hours

    Tools Used

    Screwdriver, Pliers, Adjustable Wrench

I needed the cable part to work the next day so I cut off the back part, inserted the new part in the pedal connection and tied the old cable to the new cable. Not very classy, but it worked. It is a little too long so I will need to shorten it.
