The brush roll assembly had worn out and the suction was weak due a tear in the bellow.

It was fairly straight forward to take out the previous brushroll assembly and pop in the new one. That took about 1 min. The bellow was more difficult. I did not realize that the bellow did not come attached to the plastic ends that anchor it into the vacuum. So I had to cut out with a knife, the old bellows. Then I carefully worked the new bellow with a screwdriver into the plastic end piece that attaches into the main body. The more difficult was to work it into the plastic connector on the lower part where the brushroll assembly is. It was difficult because I did not truly know if I had worked it all the way in and I was afraid of puncturing it with the screwdriver. The first time I bent the bellows between the upper and lower base it popped out. I got it in further and am letting it stay for awhile to stretch out before I use it. It may still need to be worked a bit further in so the wire ridges in the bellow are held in fast to the ridges in the joining piece.
