Bathroom ventilation fan replacement

This unit was an exact-fit replacement for a Broan blower assembly not in stock at Broan, or any of its vendors. ereplacementsparts.com listed this unit as the "new" part that I had not been offered by Broan, or any of the other electrical parts companies that were supposed to have the part in-stock. Removal of the old assembly required removing the light assembly (spring arms tensioned against the sheet metal fan housing), unplugging the blower, and light cables, removing one screw that secured the blower assembly to the sheet metal housing, prying the blower assembly "tabs" away from the housing, and sliding the assembly down, and out. Installation required sliding one side of the new blower assembly just barely into the housing, aligning the "other side" of the assembly with the housing opening, pushing up until the tabs slid into their slots, reinstalling the assembly-to-housing screw, plugging the blower, and lights into their respective sockets, checking the blower, and lights for proper function, and reinstalling the light assembly. Since we have two bathrooms, and the vent fans were installed at the same time I purchased a second blower assembly in anticipation of having to replace the other in the near future.

Fan was not functioning correctly

Pull off plastic cover being held by spring clips, disconnected electrical sockets, screw driver was used on one side to release tap of the fan plate (in center of housing) pulled fan with plate down till taps on other side clear the housing. Assembly is reversed, easy.
