    Kevin - April 5, 2018
Followed the very good instructions on the video......step by step, easy........I did have to jump to a different video to figure out the "bushing" replacement in the new case (that should have been mentioned in the case replacement video to make it easier) but it was also easy once I figured it out

    Needed new pulley and tires

    Alton - August 18, 2017
    Tool Type

    Band Saw

    Difficulty

    Medium

    Time

    30-60 minutes

    Tools Used

, tork bit, split ring pliers, socket to knock out bearings

Using torx bit I removed the pulley cap. Next I used split ring plies to remove the split ring, the old pulley slid out easily. The most difficult part was removing the bearing inside the pulley and putting it in the new pulley, this I accomplished by gently hammering a socket until both bearings came out. I tapped the bearings into the new pulley then stretched the new tire onto the pulley and slide the pulley back on the shaft using a phillips screwdriver to align the screw holes. Finally I replaced the nylon washer clipped the split ring back in place and screwed the cover back on carefully tightening the torx screws in a little at a time so as the equalize the pressure on the new pulley. Finally I installed the new tire on the other pulley which I removed as I did the drive pulley as I found it much easier to stretch it over the pulley and it also gave me the chance to inspect under the pulley having already found remnants of the old tire under the drive pulley. The new blade went on easily and I now have a nice portable band saw that I bought for $5.
